If you paint daily you wind up with a lot of paintings. And if you don't want to go numb in the face of the tragedy of every day, you (or at least I) try to paint it.

These 2 kids are Madagascar mica miners. As of a few years ago, 80% of mica miners were children. Because I could not turn away, I painted them.
